Workshop on Quality: Between Concept and Application

The Faculty of Arts in Al-Asabaa Municipality hosted a workshop on quality, between concept and application of standards, today, Wednesday, 18/12/2024. This workshop is part of a series of planned workshops by the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office at Gharyan University. The workshop aims to enhance the culture of quality in university faculties to raise awareness among their members. The workshop targeted all quality heads and coordinators in scientific programs at faculties, as well as a number of interested and specialized individuals in quality.


The workshop was opened by Dr. Abdullah Al-Labbad with a welcome speech, in which he reviewed the college's achievements regarding the quality file.

Then, Dr. Tariq Faraj Al-Dhabie, Director of the Quality Office at the university, gave a speech in which he explained the planned participations, programs, and activities to push faculties to improve the educational and administrative process and obtain both institutional and programmatic accreditation.

Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Tuwair, Head of the Quality Department at the college, addressed a number of issues related to the college's readiness to obtain institutional accreditation, highlighting the efforts made by the college members to meet all accreditation requirements.

Dr. Tawfiq Ajjal, Head of the Quality Department at the Faculty of Engineering and a member of the team tasked by the university presidency to implement a series of planned workshops, delivered a lecture titled "Quality Between Concept and Application of Standards". The lecture covered many topics, including the traditional meaning of quality, encompassing institutional or organizational quality aimed at improving and developing operations and performance, the concept of total quality management focusing on raising awareness of the value of quality and accuracy in work, the stages and benefits of applying quality, and identifying the difficulties and problems of applying quality in education.
