Scientific Lecture
As part of the scientific activities at Gharyan University, a scientific lecture was held this morning, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the theater of the Faculty of Engineering, Gharyan. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Suleiman Ahmed Abu Shaqur, a visiting professor from El Paso College in Texas, USA, titled "Scientific Miracles in the Quran: Movement of Earth's Layers and Formation of Earthquakes and Volcanoes."
The lecture was attended by Prof. Dr. Saleh Qashoot, President of Gharyan University, the Director of the International Cooperation Office at Gharyan University, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the college, several visiting professors from Libyan universities, faculty members from the university colleges, students, and those interested in Earth Sciences.
At the end of the lecture, the university president presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the visiting professor as a token of gratitude from Gharyan University and all its employees.
It is noteworthy that this lecture was coordinated and supervised by the International Cooperation Office at the university and directly sponsored by the university president.
