Gharyan University and the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Engineering extend their heartfelt congratulations to student Rayan Tawfiq Al-Bashir for achieving first place in the National Competition for Graduation Projects in Architecture and Urban Planning, with the participation of students from several Libyan universities.The competition was organized by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Libya and the Libyan Board of Architecture (LBA), as part of the sixth edition of the Urban Forum and the third edition of Italian Design Day, held on June 30, 2026, in Tripoli.Her outstanding achievement came through the design of an environmental urban park project on the waterfront of a Libyan city, aiming to balance environment and urbanism, and promote sustainability, quality of life, and community participation.This victory crowns her creative efforts during her academic journey in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, and was further honored with the opportunity to participate in a study visit and training experience in Italy, enriching her academic and professional expertise.The department and faculty proudly celebrate this accomplishment, extend congratulations to the student, and appreciate the dedication of the faculty members.
