Gharyan University and Sebha University Explore Academic Collaboration to Enhance Education Quality

On Monday, June 30, 2025, Sebha University welcomed Dr. Abdelaziz Boudina, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Gharyan University, for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration between the two institutions in the fields of higher education and scientific research.

Receiving the delegation were Dr. Massoud Al-Raqiq, President of Sebha University; Dr. Mousa Mohamed May, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Mr. Mohamed Hameed Mahrez, Director of Sebha University’s International Cooperation Office.

The visit included consultative meetings that discussed mechanisms to enhance intellectual and cultural exchange, benefit from Sebha University's expertise in international relations, and explore partnership opportunities in entrepreneurship and innovation. On the sidelines of the visit, a meeting was held with Mr. Omar Abu Al-Qasim Sassi, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Sebha University, to discuss boosting joint scientific collaboration between the entrepreneurial centers at both universities.

These meetings pave the way for a future joint scientific cooperation agreement between the universities, reaffirming their shared commitment to supporting and advancing higher education and research in Libya.

Attendees emphasized the importance of reinforcing these academic ties to foster knowledge integration, improve the quality of higher education outputs, and contribute to national development. They agreed to pursue the proposed initiatives through joint cooperation channels to ensure maximum benefit for students, researchers, and faculty members at both institutions.
