As part of the ongoing efforts by the Committee for Oversight and Quality Assurance of Scientific Journals at Gharyan University to enhance the quality of the university’s academic publications and meet the highest standards of scholarly publishing, the committee held its meeting this morning, Monday, July 17, 2025, with all members in attendance. The meeting took place at the university’s general administration meeting hall at 12:00 noon.

Key points discussed during the meeting included:

- Reviewing and listing the editorial board and advisory board members for each of the university’s journals  

- Agreeing on actions that could accelerate the registration and indexing of Gharyan University’s journals  

- Discussing the requirements for accrediting the journals through the platform for certified and peer-reviewed scientific journals  

- Reviewing a proposed regulation for peer-reviewed scientific journals, including mechanisms for their establishment and evaluation  

- Exploring a vision for the online presence of the peer-reviewed journals  

- Preparing a letter to the Ministry of Culture requesting a decision for the newly established journals  

- Redistributing tasks among committee members
