Prof. Dr. Saleh Qashout, President of Gharyan University, and Dr. Ali Al-Faqih, Vice President for Academic Affairs, participated in the opening of the Second International Scientific Conference for Faculties of Education at Libyan Universities, hosted by the Faculty of Education – Zintan University under the slogan: “Society’s Progress Begins with the Teacher.”

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Secretary-General, the President of the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies, and several university presidents, including those from Gharyan, Nalut, and Al-Zaytouna, along with a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and education professionals from across Libya.

The conference aims to shed light on the current state of faculties of education in Libya and explore prospects for their development in light of contemporary educational and pedagogical transformations. Topics discussed include teacher preparation, curriculum modernization, and improving the quality of educational outcomes.
