On the sidelines of the visit of Prof. Dr. Saleh Qashoot, President of Gharyan University, and his accompanying delegation to Tobruk University and the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two universities, a meeting was held, including Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ashour, Director of the International Cooperation Office and member of the committee preparing Gharyan University for international classification, and Prof. Abdul Hamid Al-Mahdi Idris, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Tobruk University and member of the committee preparing Tobruk University for international classification. The meeting was attended by Dr. Imhamed Abdullah Al-Hibshi, Director of the Research and Consultations Office, and Dr. Al-Bahloul Mohamed Al-Faqih, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, both of whom are also members of the committee preparing Gharyan University for international classification.

During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation and coordination between the two universities regarding international cooperation and the Armonia project, as well as some points related to international classifications, scientific publishing in high-impact journals, and holding joint workshops and conferences by the research and consultations offices at both universities. They also discussed Gharyan University's readiness to assist in establishing an Information Technology Department at Tobruk University and other common topics.
